BIOVEGE
OBJECTIVE: Obtaining biodegradable plastics and meshes from the discards and remains of the fruit and vegetable harvest.
PROCEDURE: Development of new technologies or adaptation of existing ones to extract value from fruit and vegetable waste generated during handling, transport and sale in an economical and environmentally efficient manner.
WE CARE PACK
OBJECTIVE: Bio-compostable packaging solution for maintaining the quality of fruit and vegetables.
PROCEDURE: Industrial scaling phase (TRL8: Validation and certification in a real environment).
VEGEPACK
OBJECTIVE: Compostable packaging with high added value to extend the useful life of the packaged product.
PROCEDURE: Extraction of functional additives from agricultural by-products in order to introduce them into biopolymers that are suitable to be processed by conventional extrusion techniques.
